Concept Note for Round Table on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)

The Round Table Discussion gathered stakeholders to discuss enhancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services for adolescents in Bangladesh. The discussion aims to highlight the importance of these services for the estimated 20% of the population aged 10–19. Participants, including government representatives, healthcare professionals, educators, and NGOs, shared experiences, insights, and best practices. They addressed challenges such as access to information, contraceptives, and safe abortion services.

The discussion aims to foster collaboration and generate recommendations, such as strengthening healthcare provider capacity, promoting comprehensive sexuality education, ensuring confidentiality, and advocating for policy changes. Ultimately, the Round Table Discussion focuses on improving the quality, accessibility, and inclusivity of adolescent SRHR services in Bangladesh.
