M. Shahadat Hossain is a founder member of Dnet and has served in the Governing Body since 2018. Prior to his appointment as the Executive Director of Dnet he has successfully carried out various tasks on behalf of the board. Notably, he was tasked with restructuring the various enterprises of Dnet as the Chief Strategy Officer. M. Shahadat Hossain began his professional career in 1991 and has worked in mid and senior levels of management in international and public limited companies both in the service and manufacturing industries. He has also taught marketing for over 14 years in North America. He has taught at Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada and SUNY Potsdam, NY, USA. Recipient of the Title III grant from the US Department of Education, his published research on service innovation has received the Outstanding Research Award from The Institute of Business and Finance Research, USA. He is a business and marketing consultant and is the founder of a marketing and IT company.

The best thing about his work is the process of a project idea to a finished product, with all the steps needed beforehand and after hand, such as identifying stakeholders, selecting methods, and selecting respondents. It is anticipated that his expertise in managing and implementing a range of projects in line with his responsibilities can contribute to better outcomes for communities.
