Mr. M. Shahadat Hossain is a founder member of Dnet and has served in the Governing Body since 2018. Following his appointment as the Executive Director, he has successfully brought significant changes and continuing to bring noticeable and consistent prosperity at Dnet. Prior to his current position, he was tasked with restructuring various enterprises of Dnet as the Chief Strategy Officer. He also has successfully carried out various tasks on behalf of the board. Mr. Hossain began his professional career in 1991. He has worked for international and public limited companies both in service industry and manufacturing industry as senior-level management. He is also a Marketing expert as a practitioner and as an academic, having taught marketing for over 14 years in North America. Mr. Hossain has taught at Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada and SUNY Potsdam, NY, USA. Recipient of the Title III grant from the US Department of Education, his published research on service innovation has received the Outstanding Research Award from The Institute of Business and Finance Research, USA. With all these, Mr. Hossain is a business and marketing consultant and is also a founder of a marketing and IT company established in Canada and Bangladesh.

With over 44 years of experience in various ministries of the Government of Bangladesh such as Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives, S.Y. Khan Mojlish is an expert in maintaining liaison and coordination with concerned ministries/divisions/departments and activities related to development administration and project management. He is currently employed as the Government Relations Advisor in Dnet.

Over 32 years experience in the development and private sector with main focus on Agribusiness and Livelihood. Gained considerable experience in working with major development partners like IFC, The World Bank, DFID, SDC, GTZ, USAID, ILO, UNICEF, IFAD, FAO, UNDP funded projects in Bangladesh and developed competency in Supply Chain Design & Development of Agricultural Products, Value Chain of Farm & Off-Farm products, Commercialisation of Agro-Enterprises, Market-linkages of Small-holders, Inclusive Businesses, Applications of ICT in Agribusiness and Sustainable Livelihood Development.

He is a veteran manager with experience in research and program implementation. His diverse professional experience has exposed him to work on notable professional and academic research (e.g. research on innovative technological solutions, innovation in governance systems, tools for digital citizenship education, innovative health services, preparing skill development modules, and providing incubation services based on research-backed data). He envisions strategizing unique solutions to real-life challenges through research-backed knowledge and designing user-centric services.

Mr. M. Azmat Khan is a Co-founder of Dnet. Along with his involvement in the development sector, he has 27 years of experience in the corporate sector, and is working with the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB).

Md. Abdul Malik, the Executive Director of We Are Friends For Human (WAFFH), has demonstrated a profound commitment to community development and empowerment. With a career spanning from teaching to managerial roles in various development work initiatives, Mr. Malik's leadership has been instrumental in fostering collaborations with numerous donors and partner organizations. Noteworthy partnerships with entities such as the Canadian AIDS Society, UNICEF, and Dnet have facilitated impactful projects in education, healthcare, and socio-economic empowerment. As the chairman of Tilagaon Union Parishad, Mr. Malik envisions ensuring transparency and fostering public participation in local governance. His dedication and strategic vision continue to drive positive change and sustainable development in the region. WAFFH has been Dnet’s development partner since 2008.

Farha Sharmin has over 16 years of experience as a development practitioner, specializing in project management, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and people management. She is passionate about creating positive social impact through sustainable development. Ms. Farha has successfully led various programs and projects across public health, education, adolescent development, youth and women's empowerment, local rights programs, research, child rights, community mobilization, ICT4D, gender, and disaster management. She has developed numerous training manuals and handbooks and organized and facilitated many national and international training sessions, workshops, and events. Farha has collaborated with organizations such as the U.S. Department of State, British Council, Give2Asia, DFID, UNCDF, and Save the Children International.

The best thing about his work is the process of a project idea to a finished product, with all the steps needed beforehand and after hand, such as identifying stakeholders, selecting methods, and selecting respondents. It is anticipated that his expertise in managing and implementing a range of projects in line with his responsibilities can contribute to better outcomes for communities.

Oalid Talukder is a passionate Graphic Designer specializing in Graphic & UI Design; Social media content creation and motion graphics. He also has a good hand in print design, branding, corporate identities, etc. Designing has been his passion and his dedication show in his work. He has 6+ years of experience working with web and graphic design teams, large corporations, non-profits, and individuals, although, with a background in in-house corporate marketing, he has done a little bit of everything.

Kazi Mehedi Hasan Joy just earned his bachelor's degree in English language and literature from The University of Asia Pacific. He won several prizes for debate and short films for his passion for writing, communication, and oratory. His three years of professional experience as a language instructor attest to his commitment to this field. Throughout his career and student life, he was involved in different types of organizations and cultural activities.

Nusrat Jahan Mim recently earned her bachelor's degree in English language and literature from The University of Asia Pacific. She has extensive experience in volunteering at both national and international organizations which helps her to avail leadership quality and to be skillful in public communication. She has worked for a reputable publication as a content writer for a year which enables her to vouch for her dedication to this field.

Munira Tania has joined the Dnet team as Deputy Director, Growth and Innovation. She is an Erasmus+ graduate and detail-oriented individual with more than ten years of professional experience in a deadline-driven and target-oriented INGO environment. Learned and worked in a cross-cultural setting in the UK, Hungary, Germany, and Italy. Experienced in working with international donor organizations, i.e., FCDO, EU, AusAID, GFFO, AA and DG ECHO. She has expertise in proposal writing and partnership development, research design, and data analysis. She has extensive experience in MEAL as well as efficient in managing and analyzing data, both quantitative and qualitative. Previously, she worked at Welthungerhilfe Bangladesh, ARTICLE 19 South Asia, Justice and Care Bangladesh and Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh as the MEAL Focal.

She is a dynamic and motivated professional with a proven record of leadership skills, communication ability, managing projects, training facilitation, documentation, module development etc. She has experience in working on various projects in the mentioned areas for almost three years. She also has expertise in digital marketing, content writing and designing. She has more than one year of experience in this area.

Md. Monjurul Abir Sagar is a highly skilled Graphic Designer with a specialization in Graphic & Motion Design. With over 4 years of experience, he excels in Branding, Print Design, Social Media Content, and Motion Graphics. His passion for design dates back to his childhood, and his dedication to this creative field led him to pursue it as a profession. Despite completing an MBA, his true calling lies in the realm of design. Throughout his career, he has successfully worked in various sectors, including non-profit organizations and commercial platforms. His continuous drive to innovate and explore new design concepts sets him apart. Through hard work and unwavering commitment, he consistently delivers exceptional results in his projects.

Her experience in the research and development sector spans more than 4 years, and she is an accomplished researcher with a passion for using data. Her competence lies in obtaining and analyzing data to offer innovative solutions. From the University of Dhaka, she has earned her graduation and post-graduation degrees in Peace and Conflict. Tanzim Khan joined Dnet as a Young Professional Trainee. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics and postgraduation degree in Development Studies from BRAC University. His postgraduation dissertation was titled “Exploring the Challenges of the Implementation of Public Health Directives that Bangladesh Faced during the COVID-19 Pandemic” which was funded by the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) under the Covid Collective. For his outstanding performance in postgraduation, he was awarded “Higher Distinction”, which is the second-highest academic achievement of BRAC University. He received training in Advanced Research Methods (Qualitative and Quantitative Research Modules). He also has research experience Org. Quest Research Ltd., BRAC Institute of Governance & Development - BRAC University & UNICEF Bangladesh.

Dr. Huda is a Professor and the Director of Graduate Program at Department of Statistics and Operations Research at Kuwait University. He obtained his Ph.D. and D.I.C. in Statistics from Imperial College, University of London, U.K. in 1981. He also holds a M.Sc. in Statistics and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the same institution. His research interests include experimental design, applied statistics, and biostatistics. He has published several articles in international journals and conference proceedings, including Statistics and Probability Letters, Statistical Papers, and Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation.

Dr. Mitra is an experienced public health expert with expertise in epidemiology, clinical trial design, and advanced data analysis. He has a PhD in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health. He worked at the International Centre for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) and led several large community-based studies and trials funded by NIH, BMGF, and USAID. Currently, he is a Professor and chair in the Department of Public Health at North South University, focusing on maternal, neonatal, and child health and non-communicable diseases in developing countries. His research involves scaling up evidence-based, low-cost interventions at the community level within existing health systems.

Professor Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed is a well-known academician in the financial sector. He has authored over 100 articles, 2 books, several book chapters, numerous reports and conference papers. He served as the lead consultant in several projects of the Institute for Inclusive Finance and Development (InM) formerly Institute of Microfinance. Furthermore, he has been a consultant for different national and international entities /organizations including The World Bank, IFC, European Union, UNDP, Japan Ministry of Economy, Technology and Industry (METI), Toxics Link, InM, CPD and Dnet.

Dr. Habib is a well-known academician in the financial sector. He is a Professor (Selection Grade), Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM). He is also the senior research fellow of Dnet. He has a wide-spread expertise range from sustainable banking, microfinance, and social capital to trade finance and beyond. Mr. Ahsan is an Independent Director of IPDC Finance and a Trustee of Valor of Bangladesh.

Dr. Nilufar Parveen completed her medical training as a doctor at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and a diploma in Population Sciences from the University of Dhaka. With more than 21 years of experience in public health and development, she has proven leadership, technical, and management skills. She has maintained strong working relationships with government counterparts and donor consortia. She has gained extensive experience with both donor and implementing agencies, including work at the field level. She demonstrated her expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating multimillion-dollar projects focused on health system strengthening and improving access to quality health and nutrition services.

Dr. Hossain is a Research Fellow at the Department of Human Centred Computing of the Faculty of Information Technology. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Management) degree from RMIT University, Australia as an Australian Leadership Award (ALA) scholar, and a Master of Diplomacy and Trade degree from Monash University, Australia as an Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) scholar. With over eighteen years of professional experience, he has worked in various roles including Programme Coordinator at IUCN Bangladesh, Economic Justice and Resilience Programme Manager at Oxfam in Bangladesh, Head of Climate Change Programmes and Project Coordinator (Climate Change Unit) at the Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB), and Campaign Coordinator and Policy Officer at Oxfam GB - Bangladesh Programme. Khalid has also published papers in international journals and conference proceedings, and his interests include climate change, sustainability, natural resource management, international business, governance, and ICT for Development.

A technical expert on research design and methodology, he has spent 15 years teaching marketing, including Marketing Research, in North American Universities. Namely, Carleton University (Canada), SUNY Potsdam (USA) & Clarkson University (USA). He has extensive experience in editing research reports and academic papers. His published research on “Innovation process in US and Canadian Hotels” was recognized with the Outstanding Research Award by The Institute of Business and Finance Research in 2009. He is also a recipient of the Title III grant in research from the US Department of Education.

With over 16 years of experience in research and academia, Dr. Muhammad Shahadat Hossain Siddiquee has been involved in developing statistical indicators and tools, indices, designing and measuring the impact of different interventions for the local and international organizations in Bangladesh. He has worked with different ministries of the Govt. including Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MoWCA), Ministry of Youth Sports etc. and numerous development partners such as World Vision Bangladesh, UNFPA, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Save the Children Bangladesh, Humanity & Inclusions. He has developed competency in evaluating policy and projects related to education, health, growth and development, SRHR, youth development, population and human development and gender issues.

With over 17 years of experience in research and academia, Dr. Muhammad Shariat Ullah has worked with public procurement data, has prepared strategic plans, and developed recommendations for supporting SMEs in the context of upcoming global challenges of new industrial revolution. He has worked with DPDC, SMEF, BICM, Ministry of Finance, BPMI, Ministry of Industries, UNDP, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Ministry of Home Affairs, National Skills Development Council throughout his career.

Mr. Mahmud is a veteran manager with experience in research and program implementation. With over 11 years of experience in Data Analysis (Big Data) and Data analytical Tools such as JavaScript, Power BI, and Python, Amzad Hossain has worked as a Data Analyst in multiple private organizations such as NIPSOM, BBC Media Action, etc. He also has experiences in game development, game design, animations, and SQL solutions.

With over 45 years of experience in working in different organizations such as BIM, BIGD, ILO, World Bank Bangladesh, The Royal Danish Embassy Dhaka, the Asian Development Bank, and Ministry of Planning, Mohammad Mesbahuddin is a Procurement Specialist and a National-level Procurement Consultant. One of his notable works include developing rules and procedures for Central Procurement Technical Unit, IMED, Ministry of Planning. He is currently employed as the Government Subject Matter Expert in Dnet.

Atanu Das is a researcher and MEAL expert with over 14 years of experience. His Ph.D. is ongoing under the Department of Anthropology, University of Dhaka. Earlier, he obtained an MSS and a BSS degree from the same university and same department. He has authored and/or co-authored more than nine (09) research journal articles and published several research reports on various topics such as development, gender, microfinance, education, culture, ethnicity, kinship, rights, health, poverty, etc. Moreover, a total of three (03) research books have been published under his sole authorship and two (02) research books have been published as co-authors. In addition, he is an expert in using various statistical software such as STATA, SPSS, Minitab, Bluesky, SAS, Statgraphics, PSPP, and qualitative data analysis software such as ATLAS.ti and NVivo. In 2021-2022 he was awarded the Honorary Researcher Award from the Anthropology Alumni Association of Dhaka University. Currently, he is working as Head of Research and MEAL Division at Dnet.

Dr. S M Yasir Arafat has been involved in mental health research in Bangladesh for about a decade. His research focus includes suicide, psychometrics, sexual health, and panic buying. He completed MD in Psychiatry (Gold Medalist), MPH in Health Economics, MBA in Marketing, and MBBS. Dr. Arafat has (co)authored more than 300 articles and book chapters and (co)edited several books with Springer. He has been included in the global 2% researcher list in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Afreen Khan has more than sixteen years of work experience in the national and international nonprofit development and humanitarian sectors. She has worked with esteemed organizations such as UN organizations, INGOs, NGOs, and research platforms in both Bangladesh and Germany. Her major areas of expertise lie in Gender-Based Violence, Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience, Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction, Economic Empowerment of women, Humanitarian actions, Economic Empowerment of women, and the management of the Transit Refugee Camp in Germany. As a skilled professional in Program Cycle Management (PCM), she excels in research and program design, implementation, and management. She has an extensive background in developing reports, conducting monitoring and evaluation activities, and performing various types of assessment She is dedicated to ensuring the inclusion of gender, children, and diversity in research design and implementation.

Sumaya Binte Masud is a public health specialist with over 14 years of experience in Research, Program and Project design, Implementation, and Evaluation. She holds a Master of Public Health from North South University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from BRAC University. Sumaya has demonstrated expertise in developing innovative health solutions, policy formulation, and strategic leadership, having worked extensively with UN agencies, national and international stakeholders, and the Ministry of Health in Bangladesh. Her career highlights include overseeing 196 healthcare facilities, leading a diverse workforce of 560 healthcare professionals, and pioneering capacity-building initiatives to enhance maternal and reproductive health services. Sumaya has also contributed significantly to applied research, with one 1st author and three co-authoring influential publications and presenting findings at international conferences. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of Research at Dnet Bangladesh, Sumaya continues to innovate and lead in the field of public health. She is actively involved in professional societies like the Public Health Promotion & Development Society (NSU) and the Public Health Association of Bangladesh.

Dr. Khan is a Public Health Researcher. She has more than 8 years of research and clinical experience. She is experienced in Maternal Health, Child Health, Sexual and Reproductive health, Adolescent Health, Gender and Mental Health. She has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research, implementation research, project development, implementation strategy development, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, data analysis, report writing and maintaining liaison with both Govt. and Non-Govt key stakeholders. She also has close working experience with different wings of MoHFW, NGOs, and INGOs, national and international universities, Donor agencies and Govt. regulatory bodies.

Md. Tarik Aziz is working as an Assistant Manager, Research at Dnet. He is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS), University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Previously, he accomplished his Honors and Master’s degrees from the Department of Social Work, University of Rajshahi. His research interests are Climate change adaptation, Disaster management, Occupational transformation, Gender and Disaster, Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction, and mixed methods research. He is experienced to write research proposal, prepare questionnaire, conduct survey, focus group discussions (FGDs) and key informant interviews (KIIs). He has a number of years of experience writing research reports, thesis, journal articles, and making presentations. He is conversant on both qualitative and quantitative research. He has more than 7 years of research experience especially in the field of Disaster and Disaster Management. He was involved in several research projects with Plan International, Heifer International Bangladesh, and Association for Community Development (ACD). For the last three years, he has been extensively working on disaster-led occupational transformation of the fishing community in coastal Bangladesh at IBS, University of Rajshahi. He has published 3 articles in reputed international journals.

Faiza Tahsin is an Assistant Manager (Research and Innovation) in Dnet with 5 years of experience in the Development field. Her specialization in the development sector, specifically in the domains of economics, climate change, and gender comes from her vast exposure in academic life. Previously she worked in renowned think tanks of Bangladesh as well as in multiple INGOs. Currently, she is overseeing the Resource Mobilization, Innovation, and Research department of Dnet. She completed her undergraduate in Economics and postgraduation in Development Studies, both from BRAC University. She was awarded Graduate (BRACU) Merit Based Scholarship (2020-2021) and COVID Collective Grants (2021) for her academic performance. She also co-authored a few publications with MODMR, RAPID, and UNICEF Bangladesh. Her areas of interest are- Environment, climate change, governance, poverty, economy, sustainability, social affairs, culture, gender, and behavioral economics.

Dr. Farah Sabrina is a young researcher and dedicated public health specialist passionate about research and improving healthcare outcomes. With a background in Dentistry and a Master's in Public Health from North South University, Sabrina has established herself as a skilled researcher and leader in this field. Sabrina has made significant contributions to applied research, with one 1st author and two co-authors internationally peer-reviewed journal publications. She presented her paper at a national conference and won the Best Oral Presenter Award at the 9th Regional Public Health Conference 2022. Now, She is also actively involved in various research projects and publications; she is committed to advancing knowledge and serving diverse populations. She is currently serving as “Senior Executive at Development Research” at Dnet. Sabrina is a member of several professional organizations, including the Public Health Foundation of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Dental Society, and the Smile Bangladesh team. With strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a track record of contributing valuable insights, Sabrina continues to make a positive impact in the field of public health.

An aspiring development professional. Before joining the DNET team Mr. Shakil used to work as a research assistant at Mitra and Associates where he worked in several evaluation studies of programmes such as the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) of Child Sensitive Social Protection Project in Bangladesh and the National Resilience Programme of UNDP. During his undergraduate days, he also served as a research assistant under Department of Criminology, Universityof Dhaka. Currently Mr. Shakil is pursuing his professional master’s degree in development studies from University of Dhaka.

Ms. Rafia Raisa is working as a "Young Professional" at Dnet. She has completed her both graduation and post-graduation from the Anthropology department, University of Dhaka. Before joining Dnet. She was involved as a "Research and Documentation" intern in BRAC Migration Program. She was also involved in 'Centre for Genocide Studies, University of Dhaka' as a 'Research and Publication' intern for a publication titled as "Bangladesh Foreign Policypaedia". Recently, she has worked as a ''Researcher' with a UNESCO-funded project initiated by the Department of Anthropology, University of Dhaka on the topic of " Heritage Studies of Bangladesh". Her undergraduate monograph was on the topic of differences between Etimkhana (Islamic religious schools) education and mainstream education in Bangladesh. Her MSS thesis was on the issue of higher education as an education industry in Bangladesh and the skill-knowledge gap among students focusing on private universities. During her academic life, she was involved with multiple organizations for both volunteering and professional purposes such as Spreeha Bangladesh Foundation, Dhaka University Research Society and developed her keen interest in research sector. Her expertise area is on developing Qualitative and Mixed method research, reporting, transcripting and communicating in written form.

This is sammi Akter Bithy. She has completed her bachelor’s and masters from the Department of Public Administration of Comilla University. She starts her journey with Dnet as a young professional. Throughout her academic life, she has worked with several organizations as a volunteer. Besides, she worked as a teacher in a Rohingya camp, Ukhiya with Biddyanondo Foundation. What is more, she played her role as vice president in one of the largest cultural organizations in her University. Those voluntary and social organizations developed her communication and leadership skills.

Sabekunnaher Supty has completed her BSS (Hons) in Economics from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, where she has gained a solid foundation in qualitative research methods and developed strong written and verbal communication skills through her academic projects and presentations. In her final year of the graduation program, she also did a monograph project based on "Price hike and its impact on student’s life". These experiences have honed her ability to connect with diverse individuals and listen to their stories. As a dedicated enthusiast in the field of economics, she is thrilled to have embarked on her journey as a Young Professional at Dnet. Her academic foundation, coupled with her insatiable curiosity, fuels her drive to explore and contribute to the world of economics through meaningful research and insights.

Sadiqun, an adept environmental geographer, holds graduate and postgraduate degrees from the University of Dhaka, specializing in scientific research and GIS. With over three years of hands-on experience, she refined her skills at Groupmappers, Shahin Geospatial, and Bengal Institute. By contributing to environmental initiatives at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, she demonstrates her commitment beyond professional roles. Sadiqun co-authored an essay in "The Great Padma" and published a Daily Star article advocating for mangrove conservation. Her Master's thesis, recognized by the National Science and Technology Fellowship in 2021, showcases her dedication to informing environmental solutions, driven by love for her country.

Umme Habiba Tanzila has joined Dnet as a young professional. She has completed both her graduation and post-graduation from the Department of Psychology at the University of Dhaka. With a passion for research, she is willing to bring an enrichment of knowledge and fresh perspectives to her role. Her academic background equips her with a solid foundation for delving into the diversities of the field. Dr. Ferdousy Jannat has joined Dnet as Deputy Manager, Health Research and Program. She is a medical doctor who completed her MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College and her MPH from Independent University. She has work experience in both program and research implementation at renowned INGOs by collaborating with several stakeholders. She also possesses expertise in data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative. Through her determination and dedication, she looks forward to contributing her knowledge and diverse experience to the development sector of Bangladesh.

Nazifa Tasnim , a dedicated Sociology graduate with a solid understanding of sociological theories, research methodologies and social issues. Skilled in qualitative research, data analysis and report writing with strong interpersonal skill. She has a year of experience of working as a Project Coordinator in a Malala Fund project in Khulna, Bangladesh.

Md. Sakibul Islam has completed both his graduation and post-graduation from the Department of Public Administration at Comilla University, where he acquired constructive knowledge in leadership, governance, good governance, accountability and transparency, human rights with gender issues, and the Bangladesh government structure and legislature. He completed his graduation with several practical research projects, both individually and as a group leader.
